Ingredients:
3-1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cornmeal
1/8 cup bacon fat
1/2 cup diced celery
1/8 cup diced red peppers
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/2 cup unsalted sunflower kernels
1-1/4 cup water
3 tablespoons corn oil

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix water and oil. Add flour,cornmeal,vegetables,garlic
and sunflower seeds. Knead dough 2-3 minutes then roll to 1/4" thick. Cut dough with cookie
cutters. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for
30 minutes.Cool and store in tightly covered container. Makes 2-1/2 dozen bone
shaped biscuits.
