Pumpkin Bread for Birds


2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 cup canned pumpkin
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup raisins
1/3 cup water
2 eggs and shells

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Crush egg shells to powder. In large bowl, make well in flour. Pour in oil,pumpkin and water. Blend with beater. Add baking soda, and cinnamon, mixing well. Add 2 eggs and crushed shells, one at a time. Stir in chopped nuts and raisins. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake 1 hour. Cool on wire rack and cut into slices. Freeze individual pieces and defrost as needed.


This is a wonderful, moist pumpkin bread for your family also!
Just omit the crushed eggshell and increase the sugar a bit. Enjoy!
